These bags are an excellent addition to any customer’s purchase, as they prevent jewelry from tarnishing quickly when stored inside. They’re also perfect for keeping silver-plated findings, chains, and charms in top condition. Each package contains ten bags that measure 4″ x 6″. The bags use Lucent Technologies’ patented Corrosion Intercept® polymers, which are non-abrasive, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. They provide up to three years of tarnish protection by reacting with and permanently neutralizing atmospheric gases that cause metals to tarnish. Unlike other tarnish protection methods, these bags do not contain charcoals, oils, or volatile corrosion inhibitors that could leave deposits on items or damage gemstones. Additionally, they are temperature and humidity-independent and break down into polymer dust in a landfill.
