Wubbers Ring Press
Our Ring and Hoop Presses from Wubbers are crafted from high-quality steel and do not have to be used in a hydraulic press. This two-part die features an outer sleeve that can be used to quickly form square or round patterned rings and hoops from wire of any type or as small as 13mm (1/2″) inside diameter to as large as 36mm (1-3/8″) outside diameter.
To use, simply take a piece of wire, connect the ends, use a mandrel to shape it, and place it in the bottom die while it’s in the outer sleeve. Then, place the top die over the ring and hit it with a hammer. The top and bottom inner dies have a pin that fits into a groove on the outer sleeve to ensure a perfect match.
Our Ring and Hoop Presses can create textured rings and hoops on all wire types using a weighted rawhide mallet or any other mallet. They are easy to operate and can make square or round hoops/rings. They make patterned rings/hoops from 1/2″ ID to 1-3/8″ OD.
You can choose your preferred style from the drop-down menu, and each style is sold separately. Please note that while a hydraulic press can be used, our video tutorial shows how to use the Ring and Hoop Press without one.

Wool polishing wheel (1 piece)
If you own a mini grinder that uses 3″ wheels, you may have noticed that it’s difficult to find fiber wheels for sale on their own. Typically, they’re only available in a pack with a stone wheel at Harbor Freight. Unfortunately, fiber wheels tend to wear down faster, leaving you with a surplus of unused stones and the need to buy a new set. We offer fiber wheels separately on our website in packs of 2, 6, and 12.
We also offer replacement stone grinding wheels, sold individually. If your mini grinder’s arbor shaft has a plastic sleeve, you’ll need to remove it before the stone will fit. To do so, set the grinder on its side and gently tap the stone onto the arbor shaft. It’s a tight fit, but it should work. If you cannot remove a worn-down stone, you can use a hammer to break it.
In addition to fiber and stone wheels, we’ve also added wool polishing wheels to our selection. They’re very similar to the wool wheel that originally came with the mini grinder but slightly narrower and firmer.
